Bill's interest in investing began in 1975 after managing the proceeds from the sale of several family businesses. Dissatisfied with the investment guidance available at the time, he decided to build his own expertise by returning to school. He earned an M.B.A. with a concentration in Accounting while also studying Finance, combining formal education with decades of real-world investing experience.
Originally planning to become a history professor, Bill earned both a bachelor's degree and a master's degree in American and Latin American History. While preparing to pursue a Ph.D. at Loyola University Chicago, an unexpected opportunity to race stock cars took him in a different direction, and he spent the next five years competing professionally before ultimately returning to his passion for investing.
After approximately 25 years as a personal investor, Bill entered the financial services industry in 1991. Throughout his career, he has held the Series 6, 7, 63, and 65 securities licenses and has also served as a securities principal. With more than three decades of experience helping clients pursue their financial goals, Bill's approach to investment management is grounded in independent research, disciplined portfolio construction, and a steadfast commitment to long-term investing.
