Brian is a Private Wealth Advisor who helps clients use their wealth to remain relevant and create meaningful future transitions—often ones they didn’t even know were possible. He works primarily with successful individuals, including business owners and senior executives, who are ready to redefine their roles and embrace new possibilities. With a unique blend of experience in economics, business, government, and community leadership, Brian is committed to bringing Expertise Beyond Investment Management by aligning financial strategies with personal purpose.
After earning his graduate degree in Applied Economics from the University of California, Santa Cruz, Brian began his career as Lockheed’s Corporate Economist and later became Chief Contract Negotiator for the Trident I Missile System. Seeking a better work-life balance, he transitioned into business and government consulting and served as an adjunct economics instructor. In 2008, he began his career as a Private Wealth Advisor, guided by a defining moment when a lifelong friend said to him, “Imagine what we could have done if we had any positive guidance whatsoever.” That statement became his “why” and has shaped his mission to provide thoughtful guidance to others.
For over 40 years, Brian has been devoted to his family, clients, and community. He is married to Shelby and proud of his children: his son Eric is an Army Combat Veteran now working in cybersecurity; his daughter Kara is a Naturopathic Doctor helping people address the root causes of their health issues; and his stepson Jake is a Materials Science Engineer researching ways to improve quality of life while protecting the environment. In 2020, Brian met his biological family for the first time, which was a profoundly meaningful experience.
Brian values lifelong learning and has pursued additional education and training in aviation as a licensed pilot, firefighting, family dynamics, IT, math, statistics, actuarial science, history, education, and more—along with the most important teacher of all: real life. His commitment to service extends into his community as well, where he has served as Chairman of the Board of Finance, Town Treasurer, Fire District President, Volunteer Fire Chief, and youth baseball and soccer coach. He and his wife co-authored a book on the history of Hammonasset Beach State Park—where they first met in the 1970s—as a fundraiser for the Friends of Hammonasset.
It is Brian’s mission to provide the kind of guidance he wished he had early in life. He believes deeply in the impact of meaningful relationships, holding close the words: “The best feeling in the world is knowing you mean something to someone.”
