Ben brings a diverse background of leadership, military service, and financial industry experience to Brayshaw Financial Group. Before joining the firm, he served as a Regional Vice President with Equitable Investment Management, partnering with financial advisors throughout the Southeast to deliver investment expertise, retirement income strategies, and portfolio solutions that expanded the opportunities available to their clients. Today, he brings that same institutional knowledge and experience directly to the families and businesses served by Brayshaw Financial Group, helping clients make informed financial decisions through thoughtful planning and disciplined investment strategies. He also held positions in the annuity divisions of both Equitable and Jackson National, giving him broad experience in retirement income planning and wealth accumulation strategies.
Prior to his career in financial services, Ben served as an Infantry Squad Leader with the 1st Battalion, 3rd Marines, supporting operations throughout the Pacific Rim and Southeast Asia before working with the U.S. Department of Defense in the Middle East in support of the Global War on Terror. The leadership, discipline, and commitment to service he developed during those experiences continue to shape his approach to serving clients with integrity, professionalism, and a steadfast commitment to helping them pursue their financial goals.
Ben earned his bachelor's degree in Business Management and Economics from the University of New Haven and holds the Chartered Retirement Planning Counselorâ„ (CRPC®) designation through the College for Financial Planning. His advanced training in retirement planning and wealth management further strengthens his ability to help clients develop personalized strategies for accumulating, preserving, and distributing wealth.
Outside the office, Ben enjoys spending time at the lake with his wife, Tess, along with their dog and two cats.
